So, sorting more Pixar characters into Hogwarts Houses. Gryffindor? Hufflepuff? Ravenclaw? Slytherin?
I did this with Toy Story characters a while ago. But, I thought I'd do it again with more character in the Pixar universe.
Let me know if you agree or disagree with my sortings. If you agree or disagree please justify. You must have a reason for your answer.
So, on with the Sorting
Mike Wazowski: Slytherin. As far as the Monsters University version of Mike is concern, he's really concerned about Oozma Kappa winning the Scare Games and becoming a Scaring Major. He's very ambitious for that reason and he wants to show everyone what he's capable of. In Monsters, Inc., he's really determined for Sulley to beat the all-time scare record before Randall. He's determined to succeed and gets excited about wanting to be on TV.
James P. Sullivan: Gryffindor. As far as Monsters University goes, he was very lazy, so definitely not a Hufflepuff. He's a real jock who considers himself better than everyone else because he is from a family of Scaring Majors. He's a bit of show off and doesn't think things through like the rest of his team. He believes he knows everything about being a Scaring Major. Plus, I also think Gryffindors tend to be quite sporty. In Monsters, Inc., he's really concerned about Boo and wants to protect her from Randall and Waternoose. He doesn't give up trying to defend her from harm.
Lightning McQueen: Slytherin. He's very ambitious and determined to succeed at what he does. He's achievement-oriented and wants to win every race. In the first movie, he's determined to win the Piston Cup and become Dinoco's golden boy, that's his only goal for most of the runtime. He's a true Slytherin, but did the right thing at the end. In Cars 2, he's determined to beat and show off to Francesco Bernoulli in the Grand Prix. In Cars 3, he wants to keep racing at the start because that's what he loves. Towards the end, he wants to help Cruz Rameriz get to where he was when he was younger.
Tow Mater: Hufflepuff. He definitely values friendship, loyalty and kindness more than anything. The entire point of his character arc is to be there for his best friend, Lightning McQueen, no matter what. He's definitely loyal to a fault. In Cars 2, he shows a lot of Gryffindor traits, like bravery and courage, but, that was a situation worth being brave, plus, anyone can be brave when they have to be. But, he showed immense loyalty by never giving up on the task at hand even though he's not a spy. He was determined to make sure that no harm came to McQueen and his friends.
Doc Hudson: Slytherin/Ravenclaw. I'm not really which one he would be. In the flashback scenes in Cars 3, we are told that he was a lot like McQueen in his younger days. He was ambitious and valued success and had a "win at all costs" attitude. The way he was able to beat the Rookie during his flashback felt very Slytherin-y (jumping over him via the barrier, then sniping him at the finish line). He was definitely ambitious in his younger days, to have gone out of his way to win 3 Piston Cups, and he tried to show everyone there was a lot left in him. As a retired racing car, he was very grumpy and wants nothing to do with race cars anymore. However, he becomes Lightning McQueen's crew chief to help him succeed and win races and wants to give him advice about racing. That's why I'm between Slytherin and Ravenclaw for Doc.
Edna Mode: Hatstall Gryffindor. I think I could see her being in every house because she has traits of all the houses. She's very intelligent and inventive for making all of the supersuits that correspond with each superpower (for example Jack-Jack and his bullet proof/fire proof suit). She's very loyal to all of Supers and she works hard. She's cunning because she encourages Elastigirl to find out where Mr. Incredible is. But, I think what she values most of all is the courage and bravery of all the Supers to stand up to their enemies and to fight together.
Bob Parr: Slytherin. I chose Slytherin because he's definitely ambitious and wants to be successful. He wants to be the best and feels the weight of the world is on his shoulders. He's very concerned that people will forget about the old Mr. Incredible and therefore, he won't be able to be Mr. Incredible anymore. He wants to succeed even in a world where superheroes are outlawed. In the sequel, he lets Helen be in the limelight, but only so he can prove he's the best at everything, including keeping their family in tact.
Helen Parr: Gryffindor/Ravenclaw. I think she's a Hermione-type of character that could be sorted into Ravenclaw. She understands the need for superheroes to lie low for the foreseeable future and tries to encourage her family to do the same. She wants her family to be careful not to expose themselves when the world turns on superheroes. She's very level-headed in that way. She gets angry when she found out Bob had being working illegally without telling her. However, I could see Gryffindor being one, because in her younger days, she was very proud and she wanted to prove what women could do. In the present day, when it calls for it, she does leap into action to protect her family. She will choose to team in the end.
Remy: Ravenclaw. I definitely think this is right because he's obsessed with learning about cooking and creating something new that people could enjoy. He's driven to learn about French cuisine and is determined to make his dream come true, but not in a Slytherin kind of way. The way he goes into the old lady's kitchen to watch her cook and to watch Gusteau on TV. And the way he chooses to go about it is nothing short of original.
Russell: Hufflepuff. He's a true Hufflepuff. He really values family time with Carl, Kevin and Dug because his parents don't live under one roof with him anymore. He really enjoyed when his Dad would spend time with him and is happy that Carl is hanging out with him at the end. He's very loyal and selfless to want to look after Kevin when she needs them. He is brave for going after her with a leaf blower, but, I wouldn't say that that is what drives him. His desire to be there for his loyal friends and animal sidekicks pushes him to be brave. And he's very hardworking, collecting all those merit badges and taking his role as Junior Wilderness Explorer very seriously.
Dug: Hufflepuff. Dug is a dog. Dogs are loyal and are widely considered to be "Man's Best Friends". Hufflepuffs are loyal and value friendship. Dogs are all the epitome of Hufflepuffs. In all seriousness though, Dug is undeniably loyal to Carl and Russell and is determined to look out for them. He cares very deeply about their safety and wellbeing. He, like Russell, is driven by his desire to spend time with two people who care deeply about him and look after them in return. Also, he values that time where Carl finally takes him in at end because he never had that before, he just had Charles Muntz.
Wall-E: Hufflepuff. Like Mater, Wall-E is loyal to a fault. He is very brave at times, like when he holds onto the Axium as it's taking off. However, everything he does throughout the movie is for EVE. It's about his love for EVE. He is not being brave necessarily for the greater good. He is just following EVE around and looking out for her. At the end of the movie, all he ever wants is to hold EVE's hand. Also, when EVE goes into shutdown mode, Wall-E is very patient waiting for her to come around. Also, his favourite hobby is finding and collecting things. And he is a hard worker for sticking at his dead end job for around 700 years when all other Wall-E bots have failed.
Riley Anderson: Hufflepuff. She doesn't seem particularly brave or ambitious. She is creative and imaginative because she's a kid and she used to draw and make up her own stories. But, I don't think that what's drives her. I think what drives her most of all is her family. Her parents are the ones who mean the absolute world to her, even when she is becoming more independent of them it's not to take away from their relationship. I think she values being kind and caring on top of everything else. Despite all the things she goes through throughout the movie, she'll always be her parents' "Happy Girl". Plus, Riley has been suppressing Sadness in her mind just to make things easier for her parents, and, in the end, when she lets it they're even more understanding of her and what she's going through. Also, she's patient for attempting to give herself a chance to adjust to her new life in San Francisco.
Conclusion
So, these are the characters I've decided to do at the moment. But, there are so many Pixar character that I'll have to make a Part 2 at some point. When I get a chance to do do.
Let me your thoughts on whether you agree or disagree with me and let where you would sort these characters and why. Justify your answer.
