"Is that...? That's the Hudson Hornet! Bob! Darrell! The Hudson Hornet's back!"
—Artie reporting Bob Cutlass and Darrell Cartrip that Doc Hudson is back.

Artie is a minor character in Cars.

"Artie started covering local sporting events back in Wilmington, Delaware, but caught the attention of Racing Sports Network executives with his ability to not just cover the race, but the story of the race as well. Artie likes to say, "If there's a story out there I'm just trying to cover it.""[1]

In the film, Artie is seen at the Los Angeles International Speedway, providing commentary on the race, and is the one who recognizes Doc Hudson as the Fabulous Hudson Hornet. Upon seeing him, Artie reports Bob Cutlass and Darrell Cartrip that Doc is back.

  • According to Car Finder, Artie is a Roymac Lugger. In reality, this make and model does not exist.
  • According to his die-cast, Artie's license plate reads "LOCK NUT 0TU48".
