BRL-A are umbrella bots aboard the Axiom. Equipped for their titular purpose, they are somewhat mobile, with a specialized canopy blocking off lighting when needed.
WALL•E[]
A reject BRL-A has a tendency to open overextend its canopy but his umbrella is thick to stop SECUR-T lasers while he escapes with the other dysfunctional robots with EVE. It is later seen hurling the plant to EVE with great force, allowing her to catch it.
