Lightyear is a famous tire brand from the Cars franchise. The tires are mostly worn by the race cars from the Piston Cup, prominently Lightning McQueen, Chick Hicks, and The King. There is also a blimp named Al Oft advertising the brand. The name Lightyear is a reference to the Toy Story character, Buzz Lightyear and the tire brand Goodyear (which is why there is a blimp in the movie).
