Luxo, Sr. is the father of Luxo, Jr. and appears in the short film Luxo, Jr.. He also appears in Light and Heavy, Surprise, and Up and Down, which aired as segments on Sesame Street.

- Despite being a father, Luxo, Sr. is actually based on John Lasseter's mother.[1]
- Luxo, Sr. often appears in the Toy Story series as an inanimate desk lamp that is painted red.
- Luxo, Sr. makes a cameo in Red's Dream.
- WALL•E uses Luxo, Sr., as an arm for the garbage statue of EVE that he builds.
- The only short he doesn't appear in is Front and Back.
