Michael Giacchino[1] (born October 10, 1967, in Riverside, New Jersey) has composed the musical scores for many Pixar movies including The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Cars 2, Inside Out, Coco, Incredibles 2 and Lightyear[2]. He also has worked on a few Pixar short films. Besides working for Pixar, he has composed music for other movies such as Super 8, Jurassic World, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and John Carter.[3]

- In Coco, the orchestra conductor at the Sunrise Spectacular is a caricature of Giacchino.
- So far, Giacchino has composed every Pixar film that Brad Bird has directed, including The Incredibles and its sequel, as well as Ratatouille.
