Monsters at Work^[1] is an upcoming 2D-animated television series based off Monsters, Inc.. The series was first announced on November 9, 2017 and is set to be released on Disney+ in spring 2021.^[2]

Plot

Six months after the events of the original movie, the power plant at its center now harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis. Tylor Tuskmon, an eager and talented mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team who dreams of working on the Laugh Floor alongside Mike and Sulley.^[1]

This is the second Disney Television Animation series based on a Pixar property after Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.^[3]
This show was originally supposed to premiere in 2020, but it got delayed to 2021 due to the coronavirus.
- Interestingly, it would mark the 20th anniversary of Monsters, Inc.
It's unknown if Boo or Randall will appear in the series.
This will be the first Pixar TV series where the original voice cast members reprise their roles.
This will be the fourth 2D animated series, based on a 3D animated film after Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Tangled: The Series, and Big Hero 6: The Series.
