The Motor Speedway of the South, located in Motor City, United States, is an oval racetrack in which the Dinoco 400 was being held at, in the beginning of Cars.
The first three-way tie in Piston Cup history occurred here, between Lightning McQueen, The King and Chick Hicks.
Cars[]
The Dinoco 400 was being held here. The King, Chick Hicks and Lightning McQueen were all looking forward to win the season title and the coveted Piston Cup trophy. This race was supposed to be the last race of the 2006 Piston Cup season. The race had to be restarted during its 196th lap due to Chick Hicks having caused a huge wreck that involved every racer on the track (except for himself, The King and McQueen). As the final lap was announced, Lightning McQueen had a huge lead over the other racers, with him nearly lapping Slider Petrolski, who was in last place. Suddenly, as he was rounding turn two, Lightning's rear tires blew, forcing him to stick out his tongue, as he approached the finish line, in a attempt to win the race, as The King and Chick managed to catch up to him.
The race's finishing positions were:
