Ned Beatty provided the voice of Lotso in Toy Story 3.

Beatty came to fame for Network, being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and continued his succesfull career by being nominated for an Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Special' for Friendly Fire and also Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Special' in Last Train Home; and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture for Hear My Song, portraying Irish tenor Josef Locke.

Beatty appeared in more than 100 films and have great blockbuster cinema success and some memorable characters including Bobby Trippe in Deliverance, Tennessee lawyer Delbert Reese in Nashville, Dardis in All the President's Men, the priest Edwards in Exorcist II: The Heretic, Lex Luthor's henchman Otis in Superman (plus it of 1980 sequel), Ward Douglas in 1941, Mr. Morehouse in The Toy, Borisov/Pavel Petrovic The Fourth Protocol, Dr. Harwood in Chattahoochee, TV presenter Ernest Weller in Repossessed, Dr. Boyle in Prelude to a Kiss, Rudy Ruettiger's father in Rudy, General Walt Whalen in Radioland Murders, Detective McNair in Just Cause, Dexter Wilkins in Life, Det. Stanley 'The Big Man' Bolander in Homicide: The Movie, the simply sheriff in Where the Red Fern Grows, the corrupt Senator Charles F. Meachum in Shooter, Jack Delorean in The Walker, U.S. Congressman Doc Long in Charlie Wilson's War, Twinky LeMoyne in In the Electric Mist, Chester Conway in The Killer Inside Me, and the voice of the villainous Lotso in Toy Story 3.
