Phil is a character in Finding Nemo. He is Tad's father.

History[]

Finding Nemo[]

"This long-nosed butterflyfish enjoys doing the school run every day and meeting up with the other fathers to swap a bit of reef gossip. Because Marlin is a clownfish, Phil expects him to be funny, and is quickly disappointed. In fact, he looks down his nose at Marlin―and that's a long way to look! But Marlin returns from his adventures with a brighter, more bubbly personality―just as he should be, in Phil's opinion."[1]

Phil is a long-nosed butterfly fish and father to Tad. He hangs out with Bob and Ted as they each drop their kids off to school in Mr. Ray's class. He, Bob and Ted ask Marlin to tell them a joke since he's a clownfish, to which Marlin tries, but has difficulty telling it. However, when Marlin returns from his journey, he manages to tell a good one that has all three rolling over with laughter. Besides Tad, Phil has another child as he mentions when the kids leave with Mr. Ray to go to the drop off.

Finding Dory[]

He, Bob and Ted were originally going to appear in a deleted scene where Marlin imagines himself beating up Bruce.[2]
