Pixar Canada was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pixar Animation Studios, the creator of some of the world's most beloved computer animated films, being the Toy Story series, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and the Cars series. It was founded in 2009 by Dylan Brown (Creative Director), Amir Nasrabadi (General Manager) and Darwyn Peachey (Chief Technical Officer) and officially opened its doors on April 20, 2010. After three years of operation, Pixar announced the closure of Pixar Canada on October 18, 2013, to "refocus creative and business efforts and resources under one roof".

Pixar Canada was also known as The Glenn McQueen Pixar Animation Center, after Glenn McQueen, a Canadian Pixarian who died from skin cancer in 2002; Finding Nemo was also dedicated to him.

Located in Gastown, Vancouver, B.C., Pixar Canada's mission was to produce animated projects featuring characters from Toy Story and Cars.
