I wonder if we should use a stronger blocking policy. For instance, tonight I blocked someone for creating categories. The block is indefinite, waiting on the user to leave a message on their talk page to acknowledge they saw my message and that they understand the policy. I like this; I have often blocked users for an hour, a day, a week, leaving a message on their talk page, and the user never responds to my message. Once the block is lifted they immediately go back to the same behavior. I don't know if the user never read their talk page or that they don't care. But I think in cases of severe behavior where dozens of pages are edited, making the first block infinite and requiring that they acknowledge our policy before lifting the block is acceptable. Thoughts? --Jeff (talk) 03:42, September 22, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I run into this a lot as well. Leave a message on their talk, but no response. No choice but to block since they continue their ways. Surely they must be ignoring the messages. I think what you propose is good for now. Let's try it. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 12:04, September 22, 2015 (UTC)
I have edited the mentions of "protagonist" in the third paragraph, because it already means "main character", so must not have "main" or "minor" added before it. --Lightening McQueen (talk) 23:44, September 22, 2015 (UTC)

where to publish policies?[]

Where's the best place to publish the new policies? We could mention policies and help page in the text paragraph on the main page, or put them up in one of the tabs on top of page? I guess the question is, how much "in your face" do we want the policies to be? --Jeff (talk) 23:54, September 23, 2015 (UTC)

I'd put it right in the tabs so it is easy to see. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 00:10, September 24, 2015 (UTC)
I would prefer to the them in the On the Wiki tab since that is the default displayed tab, but it doesn't look like we have capabilities to edit that tab, so I tried a couple of options - I added the policy category to the Community tab, and I added the individual policy pages to a new, top-level Wiki Policies tab. For visibility I like that latter, just don't know if they're important enough for a top-level tab. --Jeff (talk) 01:53, September 24, 2015 (UTC)
I like it under the Community tab, myself. We can always move it later. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 11:42, September 24, 2015 (UTC)

Proposed new policy: No enumeration except of first, and possibly of second, cases[]
