Randall Stuart "Randy" Newman (born November 28, 1943) is an American singer-songwriter, arranger, composer, and conductor. He has composed and conducted the musical scores for many Pixar movies including Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story 3, and Monsters University. Besides music for Pixar, he also wrote and composed and conducted music for other movies such as Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, The Natural, Pleasantville, and Avalon, plus TV shows such as ER and Monk. Hits from early in Newman's career include "I Love LA", "Sail Away", and "Short People".

- Randy's cousin, Thomas Newman, is also a composer and conductor for Pixar. Tom wrote the scores for Finding Nemo, WALL•E, and Finding Dory, all directed by Andrew Stanton.
