Stratogale was a minor character in The Incredibles.
The Incredibles
"Stratogale's super powers included sub-sonic flight and super strength. She could also speak several bird dialects fluently. The teenage Super posed as a high school student. As a teenaged Super who both worked for the NSA and attended high school, she was one of the youngest Supers to work for the NSA.
She was good friends with Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, attending their wedding alongside Meta Man, Thunderhead, Gazerbeam and Dynaguy.
Stratogale would later become one of several Supers to suffer from a suit malfunction. She had just pulled a commercial jet airliner from a steep dive on April 23, 1957, but suffered a fatal accident when her cape got caught in the jet engine’s turbine and pulled her in, resulting in her death.
Abilities
Her powers included subsonic flight, super-strength and the ability to communicate with ten species of birds in six dialects.
Personality
Stratogale was noted as being deeply altruistic, volunteering at the zoo bird hatchery in her secret identity. It is implied that she is a bit of a daydreamer, with her NSA file saying she "keeps her head in the clouds."
Trivia
- Her name comes from a combination of "stratosphere", an upper layer of the atmosphere, and "gale", a strong wind.
- Stratogale's death involving a cape and a jet turbine foreshadows the death of Syndrome at the end of the film.
- In LEGO The Incredibles, Stratogale appears as a playable character.
- Stratogale is one of the few heroes to not have an audio recording in the NSA Files bonus feature. The others are Macroburst, Meta Man, Plasmabolt, and Splashdown.
