Possible similarity/comparison?[]

In Toy Story, during the final scene of the Strange Things musical sequence, we see Andy holding Woody and Buzz as he ponders which to sleep with and which to put in the toybox. Likewise, in Toy Story 3, we see Andy holding Woody and Buzz, this time pondering which to store in attic and which to take to college. Could there be a possible similarity between those two? But the main difference is that we see Andy sleep with Buzz in Toy Story, while Andy puts Woody in a box bound for college in Toy Story 3. --Longliveaki 03:34, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Andy's dad[]

So now that I've seen all 3 Toy Story movies, none of them ever mention what happened to his dad. Do any storybooks or other material mention him? I thought maybe they would show a picture of him at Andy's graduation, even if Andy's parents had been divorced. So since they didn't, can we assume he's dead? -- Ken (talk) 22:26, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

No, that can not be assumed. He could have abandoned them, etc. - RaptorWiki 01:41, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Andy's age[]

According to Th3Birdman of YouTube, Andy was almost 8 years old, not 7 (go to the site and type in "Everything Wrong With CinemaSins: Toy Story in 10 Minutes or Less" and go to the timestamp 0:56 if you don't believe me), and to be honest, I can very well chalk up the way he looks and speaks to that age in particular. -- Luigi Marinus Gaming 04:40, July 9, 2020 (UTC)

The "English (Audio Description)" version of Toy Story states that he is 10 years old at the beginning of the film. Fsfkkk65 (talk) 21:55, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
We see issues with age and time on many pages. Unless we can refer to an official source such as this, then we should not state an age. So I will update Andy's page saying he was 10 and will include a reference to the audio description in the film. But unless there's some official proof of age for the other films they should not go in the age section of the character template. Adding a statement in the trivia section is acceptable, I.e. he is 17 in Toy Story 3 because ... Jeff (talk) 00:01, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
OK, I've done more research into this and come to believe Andy's correct age in Toy Story should be 6. The official Toy Story press kit states he is 6. I think the "English (Audio Description)" is wrong - it was done later after the film was released, and it's unclear how much information from the original filmmakers would've been given to the team creating the audio description. I will update the page to reflex this. I still have not found any definitive age for Toy Story 2 so for now no age will be allowed for that. 17 is still Andy's age for Toy Story 3. This will also impact Molly's age, which I'll update. Jeff (talk) 20:11, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

toy story 4[]

so why does he look so different in toy story 4? is it meant to be a next gen look or something? MedievalVibes (talk)
