- Not really; or at least not at this point. Lucas owned the company that housed a graphics department which was sold to Steve Jobs and later became Pixar. I'm not really sure of all the details involved, so it would take a lot of sources to dig up the information. Which is possible of course, but I wouldn't know how to categorize Lucas at this time. —Scott (talk) 02:25, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- I know more about it, and as far as I can tell, Lucas personally has no discernible involvement or relevance, outside of owning Lucasfilm, and Lucasfilm hiring Lasseter (and a few Pixar developers like Ed Catmull did early research on computer graphics for Lucas, and much later joined Pixar); Lasseter directed Andre and Wally B at Lucasfilm, but as far as I can tell, George Lucas himself was at best possibly aware of it. It's the sort of thing which would be better dealt with in a general page on the history of the company. -- Andrew Leal (talk)
