Mac iCar or Matthew Overtaker?

I remember that this page used to be named "Matthew Overtaker," but is now named "Mac iCar." Where was it heard that he was named "Matthew Overtaker?" His bio says he's Mac iCar. - Lukwisnie, 11:30 AM, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

I find from a quick research that in a promotional video (a sort of "trailer") of the Cars Finder game, it could be seen the Apple racer was named "Matthew Overtaker". The video can be seen here: The name appears around 0:11. However, in the final game, he is named Mac iCar. Therefore, I guess "Mac iCar" should be considered the good name, while the other one is an "old", discarded name. Am I right Ryan ? Gray Catbird 15:43, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

There aren't differences(Cars4ever 16:12, April 22, 2012 (UTC))

Yes, it seems the only change has been the name. Gray Catbird 16:17, April 22, 2012 (UTC)
Yes, you are correct, Gray. I changed the named of the article back to Mac iCar earlier this morning, and added the Matthew Overtaker reference into the trivia section, as you can see. Thanks! - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 17:45, April 22, 2012 (UTC)
And about the video in Gary Catbird's comment above, the commercial said that there are 217 cars to find. However, there are 201 pages in the "Cars Characters" category. I'm guessing that means that we haven't found all the cars. - Lukwisnie 2:53 PM, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
I doubt we missed any from the Blu Ray Cars Finder on the wiki. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 20:36, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
Also, I think he should've been named "Matthew Overtaker," because that sounds more like an actual name. - Lukwisnie, 3:01 PM, April 28, 2012 (UTC)
"Matthew Overtaker" sounds more like a real name indeed, and it's probably for this reason it is so popular. But the final version of the game calls him Mac iCar so we should call him Mac iCar. Otherwise it would be a bit like naming Lewis Hamilton Lewis Revington because it is first under this name he appeared, even though in the final film, his name was changed. Of course, may be Mac iCar is a nickname, that's very plausible. May be he has a real name, and may be this name is Matthew Overtaker. But those are suppositions that cannot be proven... Yes, until something else comes out from Pixar showing otherwise, his name should remain as-is. I doubt we'll ever see anything at this point. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 16:31, April 29, 2012 (UTC)

Which is his real name? Mac iCar looks like a nickname, and in reality the real name is Matthew Overtaker.

Read the last line in the Trivia section of the article. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 15:24, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
