Age of Molly?[]
Earlier today, a user edited this page to claim that Molly was 1 in TS1, 5 in TS2... and 10 in TS3. Dvcnut and I reverted this edit roughly simultaneously; he must have been marginally faster, as his revert was the one that got through. ;-)
IIRC, Molly is 5 years younger than Andy; and Andy was 6 in TS1, 10 in TS2 and 17 in TS3, so the claim of Molly being 10 in TS3 is inconsistent with the other ages, and the claimed age of 12 is the correct one. — evilquoll (talk) 22:46, January 14, 2019 (UTC)
- Looking at the Toy Story and Toy Story 3 press kits, I can confirm that Andy is 6 in the original film, and almost 18 in the 3rd. I didn't find anything definitive for the 2nd, and in none of them did I find anything about Molly's age. But it seems logical that Molly was 1 in the 1st film, or 5 years younger, and that would be she was 12 in TS3. So I'm fine putting that information in. I'm not sure what to say about TS2, if you want to say she was 5 and then put a cite tag behind it, I'm fine with that. --Jeff (talk) 03:27, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

- Maybe you should add something like "in a flashback" or something similar, it's confusing to see her listed as pre-teen in Toy Story 3 but then only 6 in Toy Story 4. - I just updated Andy's main and talk pages along with associated Toy Story pages. According to the official Toy Story press kit, it's stated Andy is 6. We only have ages for Andy for that film and Toy Story 3 (6 and 17), so the only ages allowed for Molly in the character template will be 1 and 12. We can add "approximately 6" in the main body of the page. I'll update the page accordingly. Jeff (talk) 20:20, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
