Turning Red is an American 3D computer animated coming-of-age film produced by Pixar that was released to Disney+ on March 11, 2022. The film is Pixar's 25th feature film.[1]
Synopsis
A young girl's devotion to a boy band who uncontrollably poofs into a giant red panda.[2]
Set in the year 2002 [3] in Toronto, Canada, “Turning Red”, Meilin Lee is a confident, dorky thirteen-year-old girl of Asian decent torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. And as if changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets strong emotions (which for a teenager is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! “Turning Red” is directed by Academy Award-winner Domee Shi (Pixar short BAO), produced by Lindsey Collins and it is coming to Disney+ On March 11, 2022.[4]
