Blocking Carlyisahuman, Notatrololol and Spreadcreamonmypie

Hello ! It is urgent to block these three users, most likely all the same person. They are adding non-sense, vulgar content to pages. Gray Catbird 22:40, December 26, 2011 (UTC)

They have all been blocked. Sorry it took so long, was gone all day. Thanks for cleaning up all their edits! --Jeff (talk) 05:15, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

In case no admin noticed it...

Hello, I have noticed that a Wikia staff member has left a message, apparently intended to be addressed to an admin, on the page of what seems an old, unused bot, named Croebot... In case this message would go unseen by anybody, I redirect it to you... Gray Catbird 23:47, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

"Hi Croebot,

My name is Peter and I'm Wikia's Content PRoduction Manager.

Was wondering if we could put the Brave trailer on your main page and feature the film a bit more prominently?

Hope that will be cool, just lemme know!

User contributions

Hey Jeff, I don't know about you, but I've been spending a lot of time lately doing nothing but cleaning up after 4 or so users whose contributions only actually detract from the pages, as the information is either opinions, incorrect, contains horrible grammar and spelling, or is redundant. Have you been seeing this? Or at least have you been seeing what I've been undoing? What can we do about this? At some point it has to stop and the users have to be blocked, as they aren't competent or mature enough. Thanks. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 16:58, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

Yea, I've done some cleanup but I think you've done a lot more. It is becoming very tiring and it's not productive time at all. What are your thoughts - should we block people right now, or give them a final warning? I know of 2 users for sure, not sure about the other 2 you are speaking of. Feel free to email me. --Jeff (talk) 17:30, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and given warning to 3 users. If their behavior does not improve feel free to block them. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 18:43, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
OK, I see those 3, and that was 3 of the 5. Without using usernames, the 4th is the one you've reverted many edits to the past couple days in your contributions. The 5th I'm still not sure about. I'll be watching them. Username starts with an "L".... Thanks. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 01:23, September 21, 2011 (UTC)
Yea, I know who you mean, and I'm almost ready to warn them also. Doesn't it feel we've seen some of these people under other names????
On a different topic, are you hating the new edit window as much as I am? I can't stand it. Of course, I'm not one much for UIs in the first place, I always use the source editor. Where is the checkbox to say to not follow? I don't like it. --Jeff (talk) 02:41, September 21, 2011 (UTC)
No, I don't like the new edit window either. I always switch to the source editor as well. The Categories box seems like a step backwards. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 09:22, September 21, 2011 (UTC)
There's also two users that basically don't contribute. Instead they just sit in the "chat" and do some type of "role playing". A little freaky if you ask me. I think they should be blocked. We don't need our chat room full of that, even if it is otherwise empty. What do you think? - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 01:30, September 22, 2011 (UTC)
Yea, I think the chat should be for Pixar-related items only. Feel free to warn them that they will be blocked. Thanks for blocking Isa0304. I think we've been more than patient with him, I would've blocked permanently. --Jeff (talk) 02:04, September 22, 2011 (UTC)
Jeff, do you mind coming into the chat? Thanks. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 15:35, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
OK! --Jeff (talk) 15:43, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Correcting name of Billy Oilchanger page

Hello, user Isa0304 (which by the way tends to make incorrect edits) has changed the name of the page Billy Oilchanger to "Octain Gane", and things like that. When I tryied to correct that, I have messed up everything, because I wasn't able to change the name... Can you please correct it ? --Gray Catbird 21:56, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Never mind, Ryan has corrected it. Gray Catbird 21:57, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Haha, just got to this edit in my emails. Yeah, there was a mess with that page and the others Isa0304 edited. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 22:05, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Outtakes

Here's the link to the page Jeff, just click on this: Outtakes

Thanks, it looks good! I made a few minor updates to it, added some categories, etc. --Jeff (talk) 22:01, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

Thank You

Hi Jeff, thank you for excepting my request. I hope you and the other wiki readers like my page about "Outtakes", if there are outtakes in anymore of the movies in the future, I'll add those too. I'm enjoyed helping out and creating new pages. I'm a big Pixar fan. I own every single movie along with most of the shorts. Daniel Macgregor 22:12, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

No problem! I'm glad you let us know about the page, it's nice to clean up pages that aren't being used or are wrong. Please send me a link to your outtakes page, I'm not sure I've seen it. Thanks again! --Jeff (talk) 23:22, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

Unprotect Request

Hello Jeff. We've settled the problem on Talk:Frank Welker about him doing voice work for Pixar. We found that he only did voice work for the Star Command film and series. So I removed Welker from every character page except Bird (A Bug's Life) as it is protected. I am asking if you could please unprotect the page, as it has been several months now. I would like to remove Frank Welker from the page and rename it to Finch, the bird's species. Thanks. --Aaron 22:52, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

OK, page has been unprotected. But changing the name of the page? I don't think anyone (except someone really into birds :) would know the type of species. I'd be fine creating a redirect from finch to the page. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 01:12, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. Yeah, I guess there's not really a point then of renaming the page to Finch, I'm actually not even into birds, I think it's species is listed on the page. I think I should rename it to just "Bird" though, as "(A Bug's Life)" isn't needed and there's no other page with "Bird" in the title on the wiki. Maybe Brad Bird, but no. He he. :) Oh, and congrats on 4,000 edits! --Aaron 01:24, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
I think we want to leave (A Bug's Life) in the title. Otherwise if someone just does a search for "Bird" they will come to this page, and I'm guessing that for the majority of visitors this is not the page they would be looking for. And thanks for noticing the number of edits, I hadn't noticed! Wow, 4000, that's a lot! :) --Jeff (talk) 01:32, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, that makes sense. And yup, that is a lot of edits. Thanks again! :D --Aaron 01:39, September 1, 2011 (UTC)

Ronnie Del Cooper

Hey Jeff, sorry about saying that Ronnie hasn't been released in the Cars 2 Die-Cast line, I was thinking of him as a single. Well, like Ryan said, Ronnie has been released in a 4-pack. There's a video reviewing the 4-pack here. He looks really nice, I can tell you that. Well, I just wanted to show you that video, that he's out there in Target stores. Also, I'll be gone for a week so I won't be able to respond. Bye --Aaron 20:30, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll take a look! I'm fine getting the 4-pack, I just really want to get Ronnie. I haven't looked recently at the couple of nearby Target stores but hopefully this week I will.
Also, I'm not ignoring your other request about the movie template, just haven't had time to do it. Hopefully sometime this week or next. Later, --Jeff (talk) 20:49, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
Well, just got back from a week-long Scout camp in Idaho and Wyoming yesterday, been tired since. Yeah, you should check im' out, he looks pretty cool. And that's alright, I understand you don't always have time, nobody does. :) --Aaron 04:59, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
I ended up ordering the 4 pack from Target.com, it should be here next week! Can't wait! --Jeff (talk) 03:50, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
Sweet! =D --Aaron 04:25, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Movies Template

Hey Jeff, I have an idea for this new template, likely called "Movies". It is hard to explain, so I'll show you an image of what it would look like. It would go at the bottom of every film's page and now that I think about it, short films too. Could we use it? I'm perfectly fine with you saying no to it, it's just a small idea I had. --Aaron 02:41, July 9, 2011 (UTC)

El Capitan Theater

Hey Jeff. First, I'd like to say thanks for deleting the "Cirque du Voiture" page. Second, I responded to you on Talk:Cirque du Voiture but then I realized it wasn't very appropriate to have that specific response on their. So I brought it her onto your talk page.

Here it is: "Yeah, The El Capitan Theatre was a great place to see Cars 2. It's a very nice theater and was only viewable in 3D, which was cool. And after watching the film you could go behind the theater where they have a Cars 2 attraction. It had life size characters, a life size Lightning McQueen LEGO model, and a whole bunch of activities, mainly for kids, all for free. The better parts of it were getting to play the Cars 2 video game, the small store they had, where I bought a couple more Cars 2 die-casts, and getting to see a whole bunch of old, retro cars from around the world, all in one tent! Also, if you didn't know, Disney owns the theater and has had many of their premieres there, and I know at least most of Pixar's films have had their premieres there. I could create a page for the theater sometime right?" --Aaron 03:19, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. I read and commented on the other page before I saw you wrote on my talk page! --Jeff (talk) 03:48, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
Alright then, considering the page is deleted I guess it doesn't really matter then. I'll go back to the talk page. --Aaron 03:54, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Category:Cars 2 Images

Hey Jeff, I finally removed all the category links on the 150+ images. I removed the links from the images whenever I got time and I finally finished tonight. It took forever. The category was already deleted but you can't have the links still there so I removed them all. However "Category:Cars 2 Character Images" is still on the wiki, but luckilly there's no images linked to it. --Aaron 06:15, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

Great work, thanks! I removed the Cars 2 Character Images category. I see there are some new Talk pages so I'll try taking a look at those soon. --Jeff (talk) 12:15, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

I found the Pizza Planet truck in The Incredibles!

I found it, Jeff! I actually found it! And guess what it was not at the Car Chase scene, it was when Dash jumped over frozen water by Frozone at 01:35:15! Look at this picture for proof (Just click here to see picture). It shows you where it is with the arrow, and shades out the things which are not the truck. If you want the pic without the shading and the arrow click here. Pixarfandom 15:47, May 29, 2011 (UTC)

From that picture, it is hard to verify. And Lee Unkrich stated it doesn't show up in The Incredibles. So I'm inclined to believe him. But it might be, good find! --Jeff (talk) 17:23, May 29, 2011 (UTC)
A closer look says no. The truck always has had the camper shell on it, this one does not. All abord the S.S. Izzy! Next stop:Danvilleland! 00:26, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

Princess Merida image

I think this image is official. What makes you think it isn't official? Pixarfandom 15:11, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

Read and comment here: Talk:Princess Merida. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 15:23, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

Name of the Health Inspector in Ratatouille

Is his name 'Saie Sausseuf' or something like that? Because it looked a bit like that on the DVD. Can you read the writing? Has anyone got Blu-ray on this wiki? I haven't, I just stick to DVDs. If you have, put it into your computer and print screen 01:29:10. Thanks. Pixarfandom 18:07, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

I don't remember if I have Ratatouille on blu-ray. If I get time I'll check. But even if that is his name, he is never referenced by that name. There should not be any pages named that, and I moved the Health Inspector page back. To me, this would be a trivia item on the Health Inspector page. --Jeff (talk) 11:40, May 23, 2011 (UTC)
I never renamed the page. I put 'Is his name 'Saie Sausseuf' or something like that?' meaning is it?, not it is. I will talk to this person about renaming the page. And also, I just guessed that name, likely chnace that I was wrong. Pixarfandom 16:01, May 23, 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry, it wasn't my intention to say you renamed the page. I know who did it. I just wanted to let you know I was moving it back and why. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 16:22, May 23, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I misunderstood. Just one thing, do you actually have Blu-ray?
I have a Blu-ray player and have a few of the Pixar films in Blu-ray. But I don't remember if I have Ratatouille in Blu-ray. --Jeff (talk) 15:14, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
So, you don't have Ratatouille on Blu-ray then? Pixarfandom 17:02, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Uploading pictures

There is a problem with this. Because if I want to upload a new version of the picture, the old version is still there. It's very frustrating. This + Gallery, something must be going on with the wiki engine. Pixarfandom 15:58, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Newt page

The newt page got problems. pixarfandom renamed it (accidently I guess) "new". I am not able to rename it back to newt correctly. can you please do it ?Gray Catbird 14:32, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, I renamed it that. The reason why I did that is because I wanted the Newt page to be called Newt, not newt. I thought renaming it a different name, then renaming it back again, would call it Newt, not newt. I'm not in any why trying to vandal, I am a very loyal wiki editor. Pixarfandom 15:11, May 22, 2011 (UTC)
OK, it's fixed. In the future, if you're testing this, you should do it in the Sandbox. --Jeff (talk) 17:16, May 22, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, although hold on, who just said 'OK, it's fixed. In the future, if you're testing this, you should do it in the Sandbox'? Was it Catbird of Jeff? Whoever it was you forgot to sign your comment. And another thing, why don't we have the 'Unsigned comment' template on this wiki? They have it on Dragon Age Wiki, and look at this. Pixarfandom 16:55, May 22, 2011 (UTC) (I remembered to sign)
Just to respond to your first question, it's Jeff that said it.Gray Catbird 17:00, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Upcoming Events category?

Hey Jeff, since the "In Development" category and template failed, how about a category called "Upcoming Events" for, well, Pixar's upcoming projects? Just a category, no template. Maybe that's what I was trying to do the whole time. Smart Aaron. *sarcasm* --Aaron 17:50, May 14, 2011 (UTC)

Jeff? --Aaron 23:58, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I saw this a few days ago but then it sort of slipped my mind. I'm on the fence about it. I mean, it's just a category so not a big deal. But what events or projects would be in this category that aren't already on the main Pixar wiki page - that already has upcoming films? Then again, we have an "unproduced" category so why not an "upcoming" category? --Jeff (talk) 00:09, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
Actually now I'm thinking of calling it just "Upcoming" but I think we should have it. I don't think we should put characters into the category but as well as shorts and films there's also the upcoming attraction Cars Land. Yeah it may only have a few pages in the category at one time but I think we should have this category. --Aaron 00:22, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
Yea, I think it's a good idea. Go ahead and create it. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 00:24, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
Alright I created the category. There's actually currently 9 pages in the category, a little more than I expected. Thanks for the feedback! --Aaron 00:48, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
It looks good. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 02:06, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you again. =) --Aaron 03:22, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

Sorta big favor

Hey Jeff, since your an administrator I believe you are able to edit this page. If you are (which I'm pretty sure you are) could you please go to the Sandbox, copy the template on their, erase what's on the Community-corner page, and add the template on their? On the Sandbox is a template showing all the Active Talk Pages. What's on the Community-corner page is what ends up on the Wiki Activity page, so if it's added on their we'll know what talk pages are active and it changes when a talk page is added to the category, so it doesn't stay like that forever just so you know. Hope I didn't confuse you. I know it's a big favor but it would help the members of Pixar Wiki. I'd really appreciate it. You can take your time though, you don't have to rush. --Aaron 01:50, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

OK, let me take a look, I should be able to do it. It may take a couple of days, I'm going to be out of town this weekend (actually, down at the Pixar Weekend celebration at Disney World!). --Jeff (talk) 12:02, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, take all the time you need. P.S. You're so freakin lucky! Any quick info on this Pixar celebration? --Aaron 22:51, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
I originally heard about it from one of the Pixar blogs, like Pixar Times or Pixar Talk, don't remember which one. The website for the event is http://pixarweekend.com/. Jay Ward, Jonas Rivera and Michael Giacchino will be speaking. I'm really looking forward to it! --Jeff (talk) 23:42, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. How was the Pixar Weekend celebration? I bet it was cool. I might've gone if I heard earlier, but going across the country (I live in Los Angeles) on such short notice? Not gonna happen. I gotta check more of the Pixar blogs, incase something like this happens again. --Aaron 22:43, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
It was great! I enjoyed hearing the Pixar folks talk, they told some good stories, and it was fun to hang out with other Pixar fans. And it was nice just to get away. I'm surprised we were able to get everything organized in time to make the trip. Fortunately I heard about it 3 or 4 weeks ago so that gave us enough time to figure out what to do with the kids, etc. Yea, if you can you should watch some of the blogs, they usually have this type of info as soon as it's released. I use an RSS reader to keep up-to-date with the blogs I follow, and follow some on Twitter. One possible upcoming event is the Cartoon Art Museum benefit. It's usually around October and is held at the Pixar studio! Tickets are usually $250 or so, but coming from LA would probably be easier than flying from Minnesota, which is what I'd have to do. It's one of the very few ways you can actually get inside the studio. --Jeff (talk) 12:40, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
That Cartoon Art Museum event sounds cool! That pretty much is the only way you could get into the studio and I'm gonna do it. Thanks for telling me about this event. And Jeff, did you take any pictures of the Pixar Weekend celebration so we could possibly create a page for it? And I don't mean to rush you or anything but, did you forget about the template I made in the Sandbox? Like I said, take all the time you need. --Aaron 03:27, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
OK, I moved your community corner change into place. Thanks much! I actually never used the community activity link before but I think I will now! --Jeff (talk) 11:57, May 23, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a lot Jeff! It makes it so much easier to know which talk pages are active now. You can also put pictures and probably other things into the Community-corner page, but because it's a different type of page you may need to add things in differently. If you need any help with the page you can ask me for help, because I know a bit about this type of page. You can also experiment in the "Commnity-corner page" section of the Sandbox. Thanks again! --Aaron 01:51, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

"Through the Years" pages

I marked those useless "Through the Years" pages so you can delete them. There's 6 of those pages, just in case you forget how many there are or you don't delete all of them. You're welcome. --PixarFan 01:50, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

PixarFan, why did you do that? -- TheSitcomLover 1:09pm, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

Because like I said they're useless, the only difference with those characters is the animation at the least. --Aaron 22:13, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

new character articles

for the new character articles i already did VIN for you

New "Related Films" page

So since were creating a new page for other films directed by people that have been or are currently at Pixar what should we call it? I'm thinking "Non-Pixar films directed by Pixar staff". And could we also have non-Pixar films Produced by Pixar staff in the page, have it's own page, or not have it on the wiki at all? What do you think?

Also new messages automatically end up at the bottom of the page when pressing "New topic", and since you want new messages to be at the top of the page, do you want me to click "Edit this page" instead of "New topic" so the new message can be at the top. --Aaron 00:19, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know if there's a way to have the "new topic" link start the topic at the top of the page. So I guess yes, you would just need to edit the page rather than add a new topic. As for the main question, I think we should have 1 page for all non-Pixar films, whether directed, produced or in some other way related to Pixar employees (past or present). So, is something like "Non-Pixar films associated with Pixar staff" good? Seems rather long but maybe it's OK.
Let's keep the rest of this discussion on the Pixar Talk page so others can contribute. I will add some more thoughts there. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 01:45, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
Good job on the new page, I like it! Thanks for taking the time to create it. --Jeff (talk) 12:29, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't notice you added to this topic again. No sweat, just resolving a problem that would've made the Pixar Wiki main page not look good. I'm sure there would've been some discussion from other users against it. And your welcome, I still need to add John Lasseter when I have time and likely some other Pixarians. --Aaron 03:19, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Toy Story 3-Oh, Jessie!

Hey, Jeff, I just wanted to know if you have the Toy Story 3 Blu-Ray too, since I have it.

I also wanted to know what you think of Jessie being a friend when she said "You OK?" for the FIRST time, since I feel shocked right now. Thanks!Carmen 23:20, April 17, 2011 (UTC)Icebaby

Sorry, I don't remember that part? --Jeff (talk) 23:49, April 17, 2011 (UTC)
What I meant was this: are you shocked about Jessie saying "You OK?" for the FIRST time, since she's never said it in the second movie (which I hate)?Carmen 22:15, May 3, 2011 (UTC)Icebaby
I'm sorry, I'm still not sure what scene you're talking about. But I don't remember feeling shocked about anything Jessie said during the movie. Remember, in #2 she had just met Buzz and the gang; in TS3 they have spent years together and have much more feelings for each other. --Jeff (talk) 12:31, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

Thank You

Hey, thanks for not deleting my page. Im still conufsed by why madbomberfan put it up for a candidate for deletion? Seriously? Anyways, thanks. Endrizzi427 16:38, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

No problem! And who is Ladygagamusicvideos1? They are the one who wrote "Hello" on your page. Strange! --Jeff (talk) 22:51, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Eh, what's up, Doc?

Eh, what's up, Doc? I haven't been around here for a while. I hoep I haven't missed anything exciting. By the way, please don't let me tell you how to manage your talk page, but you might wanna think of archiving it soon. Thanks dude!! -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 20:58, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Welcome back! It looks like you've been busy since you've been back, thanks! One thing I noticed when going through your recent contributions were changes to crew categories that Angrywolf created. I'm not a fan of these categories and have deleted a few but looking through your contributions I can't believe how many there are. I find they are too granular - so many of them only have 1 person in them. When the wiki first got started we decided to have very few categories, and only for major categories (Directors, Producers, Animators, etc). I think we should stick to that type of granularity. I'd be open to adding a couple more if we can come up with a good organization - for instance, so far almost all creative positions we've put into the Animators category, which isn't right. Maybe we need an "Artist" parent category. But I just wanted to let you know this so you don't spend a lot more time working on these categories that I hope will go away. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 23:35, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Blocking TheSitcomLover

I would really like The Sitcom Lover to be blocked again. Ever since he's been able to edit again, this wiki has been vandilised. If there is anything you can do, I would really like you to block that user. Pixarfandom 16:47, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

It's true he made bad edits but I think most of them were ok, no ? Although it's not much useful...But I wouldn't say it's vandalism ?...Gray Catbird 16:53, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

I wouldn't call his work vandalism. He has been warned about creating empty pages and if he does that (or creates new categories), he will be blocked. While I may not agree with all of his edits, that is not a reason for blocking him. He has made a number of useful contributions and as Catbird pointed out, his behavior has improved. At this point, I think we can assist and direct him in how to make useful contributions, and point out (in constructive means) how to make better edits. I will continue to monitor his activity, and appreciate the feedback. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 13:20, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

I agree with what you are saying. Pixarfandom 15:52, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

I've been monotoring his activity, and to be honest, the user is annoying. He keeps making new pages, but then doesn't edit them.....he's also making non-helpful edits to pages. Endrizzi427 18:16, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

He looks like he's not making bad edits volontary, but his type of edits can be discutable. May be he don't know much what edits are bad. For the blank pages, I beleive he sees there's a page missing, wants to add it, but don't know what to put inside...So he wants other to make the rest. If everyone was doing that, there would be a lot of new blank pages...Gray Catbird 18:21, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

He is also getting quite annoying when he keeps on asking about sequels. And I hate it when he inserts 'Finding Nemo franchise'. Pixarfandom 06:51, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

I think he should be blocked again. All he's doing is just causing a lot of attention to himself because he's doing a whole bunch of stuff like creating empty pages, useless categories, and the weirdest topics. Toy Story 5? Are you kidding me? He even edits other peoples user pages and the worst part, your own talk page, you, an administrator. That's not cool at all. --Aaron 23:28, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

I honestly think he should be blocked again, Jeff. He irritates me when he puts "Please don't change" and is very annoying. His edits are quite useless now. Pixarfandom 16:26, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Duplicate pages

Well they're kind of. TheSitcomLover just created this page: Cars (video game), but there is already one with kind of the same name: Cars: The Video Game. He is honestly creating duplicate pages, and is currently annoying me. If there is anything you can do about this, I'd be grateful. Pixarfandom 16:18, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

I deleted it. I'll try to delete the other pages on the candidates list as I get time. And I appreciate your patience with dealing with TheSitcomLover! I think that will help the situation. And I'll keep my eye on him. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 17:58, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

Why did you delete the "Real people" category?!

Hey! Jeff! Why did you just delete the "Real people" category I put up?! I told you, Pixar Wiki may need that! -- TheSitcomLover 1:05pm, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

Blocking harry675

Hey. I feel this user is vandalizing pixar wikia. He added new pages on pixar movies in 2014, and added "the guardians" to the wikia which is a dreamworks movie and pretty much added his own stuff. I put those in candidates for deletion for you. Endrizzi427 10:47, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

It's a horrible vandal. Look at all his last editions. He's creating pages for films that do not exist. Gray Catbird 16:23, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry it took me so long to get to this, I was out of town and just got back late this afternoon. Hopefully I've deleted all the pages, and I think you guys undid all of his edits on existing pages so hopefully we're good. I of course blocked him. If you notice anything I missed let me know. Thanks again! --Jeff (talk) 01:10, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Warning Sherry Seling-Morin

I would really like you to give this user a warning (if she does it again she deserves to be blocked), as she basically vandalised the Main Page, with her pointless and unnecessary pictures of her Snow White doll and he Buzz figure. Here is what she did (Luckily RaptorWiki undid it, I was busy at the time): http://pixar.wikia.com/index.php?title=Pixar_Wiki&oldid=49788. Thanks. Pixarfandom 14:37, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the note, I did post a warning on her talk page and will try to watch her contributions closely. --Jeff (talk) 18:10, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

Blocking Chipmovie66

Again a vandal... It looks like Harry 675 came back under the name Chipmovie66, since he has the same style of edits. It's urgent to stop him, as he is very prolific. He even removes the "candidate for deletion" mark.Gray Catbird 11:49, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for blocking him. Pixarfandom 11:57, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

OK, he's blocked. What a pain. . . --Jeff (talk) 11:58, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

I know, vandals should know where they're going before they edit. Pixarfandom 12:04, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

I am 9 years old and i have most PIXAR movies, but not ALL of them. --Puffle339 17:19, May 14, 2011 (UTC)

So? Who cares if you have most Pixar movies? (Not to seem rude though) And what has that got to do with this conversation? Pixarfandom 15:32, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Gallery's got something wrong with it

The gallery's got something wrong with it, because if I want to make the gallley crop the pictures to make them landscape, when I click "Publish" it isn't cropped and just non-cropped. See here:

I'm not sure I understand the issue. What should the pictures look like? All the same size? They are all in landscape mode for me. --Jeff (talk) 15:49, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
The photos are supposed to be all cropped to the same format. For some reason the gallleries that had thar function on and that were edited today lost it after.Gray Catbird 15:56, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
This is very annoying, if you can fix Jeff, that will be a pleasure. Pixarfandom 16:21, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
So when using gallery, you expect all photos to be cropped to the same size, even though the original images may all be of different dimensions? Sorry, I haven't worked much with the gallery stuff, but that doesn't seem very feasible - to crop all the images to the same size will cause images of different dimensions to look screwy because they won't be in proportion anymore. One thing I see in the gallery definition above is that the orientation is square, not landscape. Is that a problem? We may have to open up a ticket and have one of the wiki experts take a look. I don't see that the gallery definition has changed but maybe something got pushed out that is causing this issue. But again, I'm not sure it really is an issue. --Jeff (talk) 22:10, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
Well to me it is. If you could contact some of the wiki experts, that will be great. Pixarfandom 07:04, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
I don't know if it makes bad or good to have the photos cropped like that, but their seems to be a problem, as the effect don't work. A gallery with cropped images is supposed to be like for example the Character Images Gallery of Cars or Cars 2. These two ones are still working. For the orientation of the gallery to square rather than landscape, I think it should make similar effects, since the two modes crop the images. So no, it's not really a problem. It's becasue of tests I made to try to make work the gallery that it was on square mode.Gray Catbird 12:57, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
But the Cars 2 has images displaying with different sizes - all the images aren't the same size. Many of the images are the same size but that's because the source images all have very similar dimensions - Pixar releases the character images with the same dimensions. I'm not saying there isn't a problem, I just don't understand it yet. If you can show me a gallery, either on the Pixar wiki or even a different wiki site, so I can see what a correct gallery should look like, then I think I'll understand better. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 13:10, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
I hope I'm able to. If this wiki's got that problem, other wiki's might have too. Pixarfandom 14:53, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
I've checked the other wiki's, and they've got the same problem. This is an issue because sometimes I upload pictures meant to be cropped, and if they aren't they just look pointless. I can't show you what a 'correct' gallery should look like because every wiki has got the problem we have. Who is a wiki expert you can tell? Thanks a lot. Pixarfandom 15:19, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
I would recommend going to the main wikia entertainment site and contacting one of the sysops there. Or look at the "Contact Wikia" links and go that way. You can also search for help on the Gallery tag, maybe that will give info on cropping and image size. For instance, I know on the image tag you can specify a pixel definition, maybe Gallery has something similar. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 15:28, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

video games

do you think its necessary if we have video game leveles of Pixar movie games? I added the page "bombs away" as a candidate for deletion. I just wana know your take on it. the video games from pixar movies are necessary to include here on the wikia, but the name of the game leveles??! this is a pixar wikia, not a video game wikia ......it has nothing to do with pixar in my opinion. Endrizzi427 17:22, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

No, I don't think we need levels as separate articles. If someone really wants to list the levels on the video game page, I guess that's fine. But if there are other pages please mark as deletion and I'll try to get to deleting them. Is Diamondmatter creating these levels? I will ask him to stop. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 17:29, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
ok good. and also, he created characters from the video games.......i don't think we need those to have their own page either. listing them on the video game page is fine but having their own wikia page is unecessary. i put them in candidates for deletion for you. they are: jumping robot, helicopter robot, gargoyles, robot car, tin robot and slime monster.... Endrizzi427 21:54, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
I thought this wiki tolerated the video games characters pages ? There's more video game charcters pages...They are there since a while.Gray Catbird 22:06, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure if they need their own pages. Most of the characters will be existing characters from the films. For any extra characters, do they need their own page? To me, it sounds similar to Shorts characters - so far we do not have separate pages for shorts characters. And if you look at the characters that Endrizzi427 pointed out, their pages are mostly contentless. Gray Catbird, can you show me some video game character pages that have real useful content? For now I think I'll delete the new ones created for the Toy Story 3 game. --Jeff (talk) 23:38, May 20, 2011 (UTC)
That's not exactly what I wanted to say... It's just I saw that there was some pages for characters who only appear in Toy Story video games, online since 6 months. This fact that let suppose that this wiki tolerates video games character pages. The fact that a category for video games characters existed for Toy Story 2 since 10 months seemed to confirm that, and moreover may invite to complete it with new pages. This doesn't mean I support these pages or that I think some are good, just that I found removing them now looked like a (small) change of politics of the wiki.
These old pages were Slime Monster, Gargoyles, Blacksmith and Gunslinger. Some of them have been deleted, so may be you would delete them all ?
Whatever, I am not a fan of these pages since I find it slightly off-topic.Gray Catbird 18:52, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
OK, thanks for clarifying. It's not always an easy decision on what we should and shouldn't have pages for, as the wiki is meant for everyone and all things Pixar. The few video character pages I looked at had very little information so I don't see much value. Others might disagree with me, which is fine. If there are other video character pages feel free to mark them for deletion and we'll try to get to them when time permits. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 19:27, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

References don't work on Cars 2 page

All the references of the Cars 2 page have stop working. Although I din't found any error in the writting, all the <ref></ref> tags and the tags don't work. The references are like external links. Also, as for the other pages the character images gallery with "landscape" crop has stop working...Gray Catbird 12:28, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

Nevermind, there's no more problem. I fixed it. I only needed to click "edit" and then "publish" without changing anything. It's weird it "crashed" like that... may be it was a problem only for me ?...But the gallery still don't work...Gray Catbird 12:32, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

RaptorWiki protecting the Radiator Springs article

He protected this article because an edit I made he didn't like. I think that's ludicrous. What do you think? Pixarfandom 17:01, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

Pixarfandom thinks i am annyoing when i am not!!! block Pixarfandom!!!! --Puffle339 23:53, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, Dvcnut!

Thanks so much for your kind welcome. Unfortunately, my Wikipedia article about Michelis was deleted today, though he is the only cast member not to have a Wikipedia page. I suppose he is considered a regional talent, but I am glad to share some info here. I have no connection to him; I simply wanted to learn more about Tomber's relatively obscure voice talent.

No problem, we're glad you're here! If you have any questions just let me know. --Jeff (talk) 20:07, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry...

sorry i caused all of this mayhem on this wiki. :( --The Ultimate Puffle339 >]]68px 20:43, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, your newest edits don't seem to be adding any value. I'm not sure if you're just screwing around or trying to make real contributions. I would recommend looking at how other people edit pages, what kinds of changes they are making, etc. And then maybe start with minor fixes of existing content rather than adding totally new content. --Jeff (talk) 21:16, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jeff!

My name is Adam Blumenfeld and I am Wikia's Entertainment Category Manager. Wanted to reach out, since you are a sys op on our glorious Pixar wiki, and throw a quick question your way. Members of our staff have been hard at work creating fun and exciting new ways for our users to engage one another. One such activity is the Wikia Quiz Builder, which we will be rolling out to specific wikis in the near future. I selected your page because it's a great community on here and I'd love to add three quizzes we designed specifically for Pixar and Cars 2. They look fantastic, are a lot of fun to play and were designed to be unobtrusive to the overall user experience. (In addition, we will have some fun tie-ins down the road for our users who play and win across multiple wikis). Please let me know your thoughts on this. We are hard at work trying to add new social engagement features across our site and I believe Pixar is the perfect place to start. :-)

Sincerely,

Adam Blumenfeld

Entertainment Category Manager

Wikia Inc.

Hi Adam! That sounds pretty interesting, and like you mention, with Cars 2 coming out now might be a great time to do something like that. Do you have some example quizzes you can show? How do you integrate it into the site? Is this something you need a lot of support from the sysops for? Hope to talk soon. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 00:37, June 9, 2011 (UTC)
Hey Jeff!
We have several example quizzes, but they have not gone "live" yet. Yours will be one of the first under the Entertainment Category, but trust me when I say they look great Our design folks put a lot of work into the layout and I've made sure the Pixar ones are engaging for both novice and expert fans. These quizzes will be unobtrusive and are made to compliment the overall user experience. With everything we do, the goal is always to help the community...and not get in the way. I will set up the first two Pixar quizzes and would love to get your feedback once they go live. Your input will be extremely helpful (and ideally, very soon, you and every Pixar fan on here will be able to add their own games). 'Till the next e-mail.... :-)
Sincerely,

Adam Blumenfeld

Entertainment Category Manager

Wikia Inc.

P.S. Hey Jeff. Just a quick heads up, you may notice some odd images being uploaded onto the Pixar wiki in the next day or so. These relate to the quiz, even if they seem to have no relevance to Cars 2 or Pixar. Just didn't want you to be confused by the pics. Give me a shout if you've got any questions. :-) A. Let Me Guess:

Which of the two protagonists of "Monsters, Inc." is the principal protagonist? Sully or Mike?

Interstate2011 22:48, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm, good question. I guess I don't know who would be considered the principal. To me, they both have equal weight so they both would be. --Jeff (talk) 23:06, July 6, 2011 (UTC)
I think Mike is. i dont know. --Puffle339 The Nyan Cat 13:39, July 9, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry to come very late to this conversation, but "principal protagonist" or "main protagonist" is straight from the Department of Redundancy Department; protagonists are "main" by definition. -- RobertATfm 23:15, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

Cars the video game characters

hi,i was the one that made "Fletcher" and "El Guapo" pages, im new in the wikia, so i don´t get this- ( No need for video game-only characters, use the video game page).

i just want you to explain me what exactly means, and if the case, if i could still doing the video game characters pages. i hope yes...

Thanks. el ruterito El ruterito 02:15, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

Hi! Thanks for your contributions to the wiki! I hope you don't take it personally that I deleted those pages, or that we don't want that information. Our policy to date has been to not have pages for video game-only characters. You can see the whole history of our discussion on this topic, but in summary it turns out these characters are usually very minor and have a couple of lines at most for them. So instead of creating an entire page for the character, you can add a section to the video game page for the characters and add the information there. I hope this makes sense, let me know if you have other questions. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 02:30, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

Banning User Leland turbo...

Hey Jeff,

User Leland Turbo is pretty much vandalizing some wiki pages; examples Doc Hudson, Fred Pacer, etc. I'm gonna undo his edits, but I thought i should let you know what the users been doing. Endrizzi427 22:42, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

I have blocked him for a day and warned him. If he continues this behavior when his block is lifted I will block him indefinitely. Thanks for helping clean up! --Jeff (talk) 22:56, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

Crew

Hey Jeff, there's a ton of pages for crew members out there that basically have no other info on them. All they include is their job title from the movie, which would be on the individual movie crew pages anyway. So these pages provide no additional info. Do you see any need to keep them? I think these pages should only be created and kept if someone decides to expand on that person's information, add a photo, etc. What do you think? Thanks. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 12:34, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

Yea, that's a good idea, we can get rid of them. That will also allow us to get rid of all the extra crew categories that have only 1 or 2 people in them. I love the house keeping you're doing! --Jeff (talk) 15:05, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm cleaning house. I've removed quite a lot so far. Too much clutter out there. Thanks for your thoughts! - RaptorWiki (Ryan) 17:47, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

Which chats are you talking about? We don't have any chats on the Pixar Wiki, at least that I know of. --Jeff (talk) 01:46, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
That's funny, but yes, we have a chat. See it here. You can see it in the sidebar. Gray Catbird 01:54, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
Funny!! How long has that been around? Do many people use it? --Jeff (talk) 02:04, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
Oh man Jeff, Chat has been around for months now. On Pixar Wiki, Chat only has about a couple users every once in a while, other wikis may have many users everyday. --Aaron 02:10, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
Did you make up your mind yet? Kh2cool 02:17, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
Slow down man, Jeff didn't even know there was a "Chat" until today, and I don't believe there is a "Chat mod". If you were a worthy "Chat mod" you wouldn't be rushing one of our admins. --Aaron 02:27, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
And so it's always been visible in the sidebar? OK, so I'm not very observant! My other excuse is that it's not on Special:RecentChanges, where I spent most of my time, or on an edit page. Also, does it not pop up if no one else is in chat?
Anyways, no, I'm not ready to assign any moderators. It sounds like it gets very little use so I'm not sure there's much need for it. For now I will try to spend some time monitoring it. If you notice abusive behavior on the chat please inform me immediately. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 02:34, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
Yup, ever since Chat debuted it's been visible on the Wiki activity page. No, even if nobody is using/on chat it will still be there, encouraging you to join. --Aaron 03:10, September 9, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not rushing I just thought you were gonna put the hole thing behind. Its okay i'm already chat mod on another pixar wiki now.

Mr. J. Kays, Dear mr. Kays i would be honnored to know your rank on this wiki and some great tips sicerely, nosmoreswthen (knows more star wars then you) (wookieepedia)

Hello! Welcome to the Wiki! I don't really know my rank, I guess I don't pay too much attention to that. As for tips, I don't think I have any great tips, I just watched how other people were editing pages and started slowly, fixing typos, etc. After a while I moved to doing larger things. Just to let you know, I am going to try to create a page that has a number of tips and expectations for members of our wiki, that might have some ideas for you. Red Monstersmasher 23:35, October 4, 2011 (UTC)Red Monstersmasher Can you please please please make me an administrator?

Red, I recently posted a "strike" against you on your talk page. That alone is reason you will not be considered any time soon as an administrator. Then, using a phrase such as "please please please" does not help your cause. Please just continue your efforts in improving your editing skills on pages here on this wiki. What do want to do as administrator? Is there something we can help you with? Just let us know. Thanks. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) - Pixar Wikia Administrator 01:00, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
I completely agree with Ryan. Also, you asked Ryan the same question a few days ago and he said "no" at that time. You will not get a different answer asking a different admin. As Ryan said, continue working on your edits and making the wiki a better site. If you are trying to do something and have questions, then please let us know. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 02:40, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOMEHOW I GOT PERMINATLY BLOCKED! I'm Red Monstersmasher on a different account I made. Anyways HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JakeQuake 11:37, October 15, 2011 (UTC)Red Monstersmasher,

Oh and I forgot...please don't block me for doing a different account because I had this account for a long time and I couldn't edit anything because I had the same ID code.

Yes, it says Wikia has globally banned your account. That's not up to us. What did you do, and who blocked you? And really, this "JakeQuake" account should be blocked too, despite what you're saying. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) - Pixar Wikia/Terra Nova Wikia Administrator 11:58, October 15, 2011 (UTC)
Of what I read on the Community Central, it's because you are 9 years old, which is against the terms of use of Wikia. It also seems you had an incorrect behaviour...Gray Catbird 17:30, October 15, 2011 (UTC)
Unfortunately, as Ryan pointed out, there is nothing we can do to unblock you. Since you are blocked do not use JakeQuake for editing. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 21:11, October 15, 2011 (UTC)
You cannot create a new account. I mean, you can, but it will be immediately blocked. So please do not try creating new accounts. --Jeff (talk) 22:55, October 15, 2011 (UTC)

A favor

Jeff, it's T.J. (a.k.a. GrouchMan) again. I had a small favor to ask if you wouldn't mind it. Thanks dude!! -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 17:19, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe, can you tell me what the favor is? And by the way, I reverted some of your changes today with DEFAULSORT. I think DEFAULTSORT is a much better way to do sorting for the categories, especially people like Andrew Stanton who have so many categories. That way, people don't need to remember to add the sorting to each one. thanks. --Jeff (talk) 17:33, October 25, 2011 (UTC)
well if you say so then all right. I have some interesting information for Scott who edits the Muppet Wiki, but unfortunately, he never responds to any of my messages. I wanted him to know that I know what day Pam Arciero, the person who performs Grundgetta, the girlfriend of Oscar the Grouch was born, and I thought he might want to know so they can have it on the Muppet Wiki. So if you could please tell him that Pam Arciero's birthday is May 8th, I'd seriously appreciate it. Thanks dude!! -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 18:38, October 25, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, if I talk to him I will let him know. But if I was you, I would just write it on his talk page - I think he still pops over once in a while. Or, you could just edit the appropriate page on the Muppet Wiki. Thanks for the info! --Jeff (talk) 18:53, October 25, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. I sent him a message before I asked yoou for some help. I went too far pipin redirects on the Muppet Wiki and was banned from the site, like, a while ago. And besides I got her birthday from her FB page. I don't know just how good FB info would be for a Wiki website, ya know? Anyway thank you for the help!! -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 18:55, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

Help

Um, Jeff (is it)? On my talk page, someone called me stupid for "messing up my edit". Unfortunatley, I don't know who it was beacuse no one signed it with an edit. This is how they used it:

The King: you have more skill in one lugnut than a lot of Cars have in their whole body.

Lightning McQueen: really? well thats-

The King: But Your Stupid >:( (for stopping my edit!!!)

Can you help find out?

Storm Brakehill 10:41, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

It was Hs1201. On your talk page, if you click on the History link, you can see who posted what, if they don't add their signature. The thing is, you didn't even make the edit that they were mad about. It was Gray Catbird that undid the edit (and rightfully so). I will post a message to Hs1201. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) - Pixar Wikia/Terra Nova Wikia Administrator 11:21, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, Ryan! --Jeff (talk) 13:04, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Hi

Hey there Jeff, how's it goin? Happy Halloween!! Hey have u told Scott about my news? No pressure, just wanted to know. Thanks dude!! -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 15:15, October 31, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, I haven't. I've been busy with work and other things, and haven't had any time for the wiki. I think the fact you wrote it on his talk page will be good enough, I think he checks that pretty often. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 18:10, November 1, 2011 (UTC)
Well as I said, I don't think he likes me. I often just drop him a line to say hi, but for some reason, he just never responds. I still don't know what to do. -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 13:38, November 2, 2011 (UTC)
Not responding does not necessarily mean not receiving. He probably saw your message; whether he takes action is up to him. One other item, rather than just leave a message like "I have news, let me know if you want it", just give him the information in the first message. In the first method, he must come back and ask for more information which takes more time. And given your history with him and the Muppets wiki, you're right, he may not want to know your news. But if you just give it to him the first time, it doesn't require any additional back-and-forth messages and he can use the information as he sees fit. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 17:26, November 2, 2011 (UTC)
You're right. I'm just afraid that he still hates me. -- GrouchMan (Send a note then scram!! P.S. Have a rotten day!!!!) 15:53, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

Can I add

Can I add a category for villans who became good?

Kh2cool 19:43, October 31, 2011 (UTC)

We had this category before. It didn't work very well and gets confusing in terms of who is a villain, what it means to redeem themselves, etc. So we removed it. Thanks for asking! --Jeff (talk) 18:11, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

Mainpage

Dear Jeff,

My name is Kate and I work for Wikia. I love Pixar and the wiki looks fantastic. I was wondering how you felt about sprucing up the mainpage a little bit? Perhaps changing the header colors or adding captions to the pictures on the right.

Let me know if you guys would like blogs or a community poll on the mainpage.

I'd be happy to take any suggestions you have as well so let me know!

Kate_03.png@fandom (talk) 01:37, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Kate! Thanks for the offer. I think we'll leave the colors as-is, but if we come up with anything that we need help with I'll let you know. Have a great day! --Jeff (talk) 13:32, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Who I am

Um, Jeff, I wanted to tell you who I really am. Storm Brakehill 14:01, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

I can't tell you now, but meet me on chat by 12:00 EST today or tomorrow.

Actually, I can. I am......................... Funnyboy2963. Storm Brakehill 11:29, May 1, 2012 (UTC)

Can you help me? I cannot add a category to my page about GRAB-E robot from WALL-E. It had categories but they disappeared and I cannot add them again. TroodonDromaeosaur 21:43, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

OK, it's fixed. problem was with the closing gallery line, it had the slash in the wrong spot. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 22:01, December 27, 2011 (UTC)
OK, thank you!--TroodonDromaeosaur 22:05, December 27, 2011 (UTC)

Infoboxes

Do you think the infoboxes need to be updated? It's probably just me, but the pictures seem a bit large, and there's plenty more info that can be added to them. -SlashMan 20:28, December 28, 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm, do you have an example? --Jeff (talk) 03:19, December 29, 2011 (UTC)
It's not that much of a problem, but pages like Snake have to be stretched, and ones with larger images, like Roly Poly Clown seem to take up too much room. Plus, others generally have more information.-SlashMan 05:18, December 29, 2011 (UTC)
I don't see it being too much of a problem. Yea, the Roly Poly Clown image is too large, but that's more due to the image itself not the template. I'm not sure what you mean about Snake's page needing to be stretched, it looks like other character pages to me. I agree, there's not much info in it but not sure what we'd want to add? If you have some ideas let me know. Otherwise, Aaron has done a lot of great work with the templates like the film template, he'd be a good person to bounce ideas off of. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 14:36, December 29, 2011 (UTC)
No, I meant that the Snake image was too small, and is stretched. But I really like the film template, though. As for additions to the infoboxes, a title at the top would be good, and first and last appearances could work. Also, should there be a distinction between feature film appearances and short film appearances? And on that subject, should there be an area for appearances outside of films, like video games?-SlashMan 05:48, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
Since the video games are not Pixar works, we do not include them in the list of appearances. - RaptorWiki (Ryan) - Pixar Wikia/Terra Nova Wikia/Grimm Wikia Administrator 18:28, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
Well, we already include film and short film appearances, I don't think we need to make a distinction in the template itself. First and last appearances could get a bit confusing, such as between a short film and feature film, and for many characters they will only be in one film. If you want, you can create a talk page on the character template page and see what others think. Thanks! --Jeff (talk) 20:58, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
I went through your ideas SlashMan, such as adding the character's name. I also added a few other ideas I previously had thought of, and used a completely new layout. There isn't a solution to image sizes, as that's based on the size of the image, whether big or small. I do have the code text, but because I can't have the template on the wiki without changing the current one, I have a screenshot of the revision from a "Sandbox" wiki here. What do you think? --Aaron (chat) 11:02, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
That's pretty good. The new layout gives it an original look, and it stands out more. The type of toy could be confusing, but I'm sure we could find something for everyone. If this character template would go for ALL characters, you could have what series their from as well. -SlashMan 20:05, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
A section in the style of that "Toy type" section could be very interesting for the Cars characters pages, as it would give a place to put their car model... I am not much a fan of that information finding itself in the "Trivia" section... For that new design proposed, I'm a bit puzzled... I find it interesting on many points... But maybe the color is a bit... dark ? Gray Catbird 20:19, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
This is a good discussion but it probably doesn't belong on my talk page anymore. So I've copied everything to Template_talk:Character. Please continue the discussion there. Thanks. --Jeff (talk) 16:43, January 1, 2012 (UTC)
